The hotel is quite isolated, requiring a taxi to reach. The hosts' bickering was uncomfortable, leading to a lengthy check-in experience and a frustrating wait when checking out. Just a bit more professionalism would help!!!

The room was immaculate and well-maintained with a calming forest view outside the window, we stayed in all day. Good staff was available all the time.

I spent 4 nights at Gableview Forest Inn, and I really enjoyed the experience. The room was nice and clean, equipped with a comfortable private bathroom. One of the highlights for me was the private onsen in the basement. It was a relaxing retreat after exploring Nikko. Every morning, the owners kindly drove me to downtown Nikko, made getting around easier. I highly recommend trying the signature seafood dinner offered at the inn. It was delicious. The location can be a bit challenging without a car. The nearest public transport is quite far, which can add to costs. I felt it was great value for money, especially considering the service and amenities provided.

The hosts were attentive, providing excellent local recommendations that enhanced my stay. The signature seafood dinner they prepared was an unexpected culinary delight that I really liked. The cozy leisure room with Wi-Fi was a perfect spot for unwinding after a long day. I enjoyed the peaceful ambiance created by the serene views of the forest from the outdoor space.

The outdoor onsen was heated perfectly, and I loved the cozy Kotatsu in my room. Satoshi's home-made ice cream was a total delight, too! Definitely staying again!
